The job of a chartered financial analyst (CFA) is of two types. He can either choose to study stock markets or the financial data of companies. He analyzes the rise and fall of the stock market and advice clients of the company in making correct investments. The main objective of a CFA is to ascertain that the clients make good profits from their investments in the stock market. The profile of a CFA also entails studying the financial data of a company when required. A chartered financial analyst can either work for a stock brokerage firm or set up a freelance CFA business. The prospects are high for both the career option.
CFA duties and responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a CFA are:
- Analyze the ups and downs of different trade entities in order to help clients make smart investments
- Collecting data about stock market and creating spreadsheets for easy access to information
- Providing analyzed information to stockbrokers and individual investors
- Studying and analyzing financial details of companies
- Preparing detailed reports with all the financial information
- May have to make field visits as per requirements of the company

- Excellent knowledge about the working of the stock market in order to be able to predict the rise and fall of stocks

The education and qualifications required for a CFA are:
