A histology technician is an individual also known as a histotechnician who is responsible for examining and studying body tissues and have to work along with a pathologist. A histology technician is usually employed in a hospital, laboratory or a clinic and has to work under the supervision of a histotechnologist or a laboratory manager. They have to prepare the sample tissues by cutting and staining them under microscope so that the pathologist can review it. They may also assist in order to detect disease or any form of abnormality. Sometimes a histology technician may also have to train lower level technicians and see that the work progresses smoothly in absence of a supervisor.
