Quality Assistant Job Profile and Description
A quality assistant is responsible for working with a quality manager. The main tasks could involve assisting the manager in sampling, assessing and verifying that the products meet certain set standards. Along with the manager, the quality assistant ensures that legal compliance and expectations of the customers are met. In addition, the quality assistant may also have to keep proper documentation of the product assessment results and may assist in placing orders for raw materials and conducting inventory.

The duties and responsibilities of a quality assistant are as follows:
- Helping in the assessment of product
- Ensuring that the product meets customer requirements
- Assisting in implementing performance and quality improvement programs

- Aiding the quality manager to guide and train production staff in quality measures
- Preparing reports

- Helping in managing training requirements of production staff
- Assisting quality manager to conduct training sessions
- Typing out letters and documents
- Collating data and presenting them in graphs and charts
- Checking inventory
- Placing orders for raw materials
- Scheduling meetings with management and vendors
- Answering telephone calls
- Taking messages
- Helping with daily clerical and administrative tasks, such as typing letters, sending emails and filing
